Israel-Hamas war: As Israel Defence Forces (IDF) prepare for the ground assault in the Gaza Strip against the Hamas targets, the terrorist group is showing some reconciliation and releasing some of the hostages. Hamas released two more hostages on Monday as the death toll in Israeli strikes on Gaza touches 5,000.
In the latest video released by Israel, Hamas terrorists describe how they were incentivized to take civilian hostages from Israel to Gaza. “Whoever kidnaps a hostage and brings them to Gaza is to get a stipend of USD 10,000 and an apartment,” a Hamas terrorist can be heard saying in the video.
Moreover, the terrorists revealed that they were explicitly instructed to take children and elderly people hostage. He even mentioned how his commander pulled him for “wasting bullets on a corpse”. Her (a victim’s) dog came out and I shot him,” the terrorist is heard saying further in the video, adding, “Her body was lying on the floor, I shot her too. The commander yelled at me, saying (that) I was wasting bullets on a corpse.”
Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that the senior commanders of Hamas decided to stay back at their safe houses while sending young gunmen to Israel. The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to eliminate all terrorists involved in the brutal attack on Israel.
The Security Forces of the State of Israel will settle all accounts with all terrorists who participated in the massacre on 7/10,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that their soldiers are currently engaged in training exercises in preparation for a potential ground invasion of Gaza. This comes as the humanitarian situation in Gaza worsens, following more than two weeks of sustained Israeli airstrikes.
